Solution:
The
Biggby community began with a new graphic interface and a hip, welcoming core identity. We took advantage of established social networks by linking Biggby to Facebook, Blogger, YouTube, Twitter, Flickr, and LinkedIn. We also built in a blog, created a format for uploading barista interviews, and designed a contest where users can post their own photos with Biggby cups and request a prize.
Our contributions to the site include:
- Creating the “bhappy lounge” theme
- Developing Biggby’s profile, group, and fan club on Facebook to take advantage of its 21 million dedicated members
- Building an HTML/CSS framework to allow integration of blogs and feeds from other sites
- Designing a system for customers’ photo submissions
- Providing detailed traffic and usage data (through Google Analytics) to show statistics on how much traffic the site receives, where users find the site, and what pages/products users visit most
